About the Event

The Meech Lake Triathlon, known as the Mike Collingwood Memorial Triathlon, takes place in a beautiful setting by Meech Lake. This event, which started in 1983, attracts participants of all ages and levels. In honor of Mike Collingwood, one of the original organizers, the triathlon has borne his name since 2007.

The Course

The course of the Meech Lake Triathlon is a mix of challenges and breathtaking scenery. Participants traverse varied terrain, with hilly sections and views of the surrounding nature. The distances for the events are as follows:

  • Swimming: 1.2 km
  • Cycling: 22 km
  • Running: 6.4 km

Practical Notes

  • Registration is closed, but it is possible to join the waiting list by contacting Adam@Somersault.ca.
  • Participants must be 16 years or older.
  • The time limit to complete the race is 3 hours.
  • Parking is available at locations P8 and P9.
  • Each participant receives a personalized bib number and a swim cap.
  • Snacks are provided after the race.
