Projection at other distances

At constant pace (simple theoretical projection — no fatigue decay).

How does the pace calculator work?

The calculator takes your distance and your total time, then divides time by distance to give you a pace in min/km. It also converts to km/h, min/mile and mph for compatibility with U.S. watches and treadmills.

How to read your pace?

  • Pace (min/km): time to cover one kilometre. The lower, the faster.
  • 5:00/km = 5 minutes per kilometre → 12 km/h.
  • For a marathon at 5:00/km, target time ≈ 3h 30min.

Why projections matter

The "projection at other distances" table assumes a constant pace, which is unrealistic for long distances (fatigue, hydration, terrain). For a more reliable projection over the marathon, use our Riegel race predictor.
