About the Event

The 6-12 Hour Turtle Challenge takes place at Parc de la Rivière-Grand-Mère in August 2026. It’s a perfect opportunity for walkers, joggers, and runners to push their limits while having fun. Each participant receives a medal, a certificate, and a free spaghetti meal after the effort. The event also aims to support local organizations by raising funds for schools in Shawinigan.

The Course

The course takes place on mixed terrain, ideal for all levels of runners. The events offered are as follows:

• 6 hours (solo or team)
• 12 hours (team)

The start of the 12-hour race and the marathon is at 6 AM, while the 6-hour race begins at 12 PM. Check the official website for complete details on the layout and specifics of the course.

Practical Notes

• Registrations open until August 1, 2026, or until 110 participants.
• Increased fee of $10 for teams and $5 for individual registrations after March 1.
• Free spaghetti meal for participants, $10 for guests, and $5 for children under 12 years old.
• Refreshment table with water, electrolytes, coffee, fruits, and various snacks.
• Medals and certificates will be awarded at 6:45 PM.
