About the Event
The Lafontaine Park Classic, celebrating its 75th season in 2026, is a must-attend event for running enthusiasts. It attracts runners of all levels, from the youngest to the most experienced. The race is known for its friendly and festive atmosphere, and it hosted the Provincial 10 km Road Running Championship of the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme in 2017 and 2018.
The Course
The course primarily takes place on the road and features a slight elevation of 3%. The events offered are as follows:
- 1 km
- 2 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
The courses run alongside the pond, providing a pleasant view throughout the race. Runners can expect a picturesque environment in the park.
Practical Notes
- Online registration is open until October 13 at 8:30 AM.
- BIB numbers available at the Endurance Boutique or at Parc La Fontaine on race day.
- BIBTAG chips must be worn outside of clothing for detectable timing.
- Participant limit: 1500 runners for the 5 km, 1500 for the 10 km, and 4000 in total.
- Prizes and medals for participants.
